Keto Diet Diary: Week 2 – It Ain’t So Bad!

This week was just getting used to my limitations. I’ve been controlling myself more so this week, but whatever I’ve felt before that was holding me back, maybe it was self confidence, maybe it was lack of will, but whatever it is this time, it’s really propelling me to keep going. This Keto Diet really isn’t that bad actually. I weighed myself from this week and I didn’t see a change in weight, still 177lbs. I’m just happy that I am not any¬†higher than last week. Probably because it’s that bloaty time of the month. Not sure. But it’s kept my weight number pretty stagnant, but not my fit.

This week I decided to go shopping and things actually FIT. I put on 4 Kate Spade dresses and they all fit me to a T. It’s like Kate Spade and her team measured me in my sleep and decided to make 4 dresses for me. That feeling is something that I haven’t felt in a long time! So that felt like a win. Not a win for my credit card, but to be honest, who effing cares. I deserve this!

Coffee Coffee Coffee

My super good friend Bri told me the wonders of coffee and what her new Starbucks order is. We do this all the time, we tell each other new things to try whilst we both are on the Keto Diet. Her order is a Venti Coffee with heavy cream and 2 pumps of Sugar Free Mocha. While my Starbucks order is much more complicated. It’s an Iced Breve Latte made with heavy cream, 2 pumps Sugar free Mocha and 1 pump sugar free vanilla. It used to be much more complicated than that, but since Starbucks got rid of a few ingredients, I’ve opted for more simpler versions.

I’ve been on the road a lot as of late, and I don’t have a hard time finding food. Really the basis of what I am eating is: Meat, cheese, dairy, & veggies. Which isn’t hard to find at any restaurant. I think since the whole Atkins diet kicked in, people have left some non-carb items on the menu, in the case of any stragglers are left out on that diet. But people have been surprisingly helpful in helping me find some good eats on any menu. Except Panera. Those bastards.

For the record there hasn’t been any hard times on my calendar so far. Plus I haven’t put myself in sticky situations as of yet. No Cinnabon’s or Auntie Anne’s for me for awhile! Hope you are staying strong on your quest. Do you have a pal who’s doing it or are you curious about it? Know any good restaurants that have some killer dishes?
