Day One: I’m GONNA DIE!!!
Just kidding! Since this is my post baby body and I’m around 196 lbs. I’ve decided to start on Keto again. I’ve been avoiding it since day one because everywhere I’ve looked on the internet was pretty much telling me that my milk supply would drop and I would have issues…yada yada yada. But after lurking Jenna Jameson’s Instagram, I saw that she was Keto even after she had a baby and STILL breastfed with no issues. Not saying that her situation fits mine and will fit everyone else’s, but I confirmed with my mom and sister that our family had never had supply issues. So I’m ready to jump back in! I’m in it to WIN IT!!
Speaking of winning it, as an added bonus Ryan has also thrown in a treat if I do make it to my goal weight of 120lbs, and STAY there for a month. Which one do you think I should get?
Also had to start on my mom’s birthday, so I didn’t get to enjoy cake, which was sad, not to mention she had macarons and cinnamon rolls at her house just lying about. It’s day one and just KNOWING there will be sugar deprivation makes it that much more desirable. So I need to start right away and have fat bombs and sugar free Keto baked good ready to go!
Day 2 – 😖

Day 3 – Saved By Chocolate
Thankfully yesterday I was able to make a Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding yesterday to hammer down my sugar cravings. The more and more I think about food I’m starting to remember more about what I did while I was on keto last. I knew that anytime I looked at a recipe I had to change things around. For instance, anything that had sugar I switched to Swerve, flour was almond flour, and potato was cauliflower. Now they weren’t interchangeable in every recipe, but more often than not it was.
Today I had for breakfast a blueberry and banana smoothie. Yes I know, bananas aren’t keto, but I only had one and I was super active today, so I thought it would be fine. I also had one of my Chocolate Chia Seed Puddings.
For lunch I ate some left over steak, mushrooms, green beans, and broccoli from yesterday’s lunch. And then finally for dinner, Korean bbq at a restaurant. No rice!
Day 4 – Ah FACK My Cramps!
🚨TMI Alert🚨 I started my period, and guess what? Starting a diet while starting your period sucks balls. Like major ones! You’re already going through stuff hormonally and to throw a diet on top of that really throws a wrench into things. But I’m still trucking along and making my way to the end goal of that Chanel bag plus my awesome bod!
Breakfast: Eggs w/ Boursin cheese, left over bacon and sausage
Lunch: chicken thighs and cauliflower rice risotto.
Dinner: Eggs again and cheese, chicharron as a snack.
Day 5 – I Think I’m Gonna Pass Out
So I was doing very well, and have ideas of intermittent fasting. Probably because I am not eating due to the fact that my daughter takes up 99% of my time. In fact it’s 2am as I’m writing this because I finally got some work done in our apartment. But back to intermittent fasting, it’s way more difficult to picture not eating from 11pm to 1pm the next day, each day. I know that’s what really helps with the tightening of the skin when you’re dieting. But today I felt super ill when I ate this keto shortbread cookie that was on my sisters countertop. I wanted to die I felt so I’ll. So I took a rest and felt a bit better. Other than that, super fatigued, I feel like my milk supply is smaller but whatevs, it doesn’t seem to bother Skye!
Breakfast: Chocolate Chia Seed Mousse
Lunch: Cilantro Lime Salmon (see Instagram for recipe)
Dinner: Zucchini spaghetti and meat sauce.
Snacks: Parmesan chips, seaweed, keto shortbread peanut butter chocolate bar of death.
Day 6 – Cheater Cheater, Pizza Eater
I ate a cauliflower crust pizza. But it had carbs in it…like 69g. Then I thought who the fuck cares. It’s one meal. Then I cried in the shower.
Day 7 – I Made It?
Today was especially hard because I just ate whatever was in the freezer. Cauliflower stir fry rice. That legit was my only meal. Wasn’t intending to be intermittent fasting but with Ryan gone this week, and Skye running out of food, I figured I needed to get some stuff done, and eating was taking a backseat. Was I hungry, yes. But I just didn’t make it a priority. Hopefully tomorrow might be better *crosses fingers*
